Maybe he works for Sony. This would be one good way of bumping up their "shipping" numbers.

There's 60 PSP games??

:P

I thought the psp didn't have that money myself I assume the person stole psp movies and games or have more then one copy of a game.

That person may need a 2nd copy of a game just in case the first copy breaks in his pants. I doubt it wouldn't be broken from going into the car though.

If they know that the car was a rental car, can't the cops track down who rented it? I hope to God they catch this moron. I'd love to see this guy going to prison and getting gangraped in the showers just for something as stupid as swiping PSP games and movies from a rental store. I hope he thinks of his PSP whenever his cellmate says "I'm gonna make you squeel like a pig, boy!"

no offense.. but can anyone figure out how this is logical as they store the games in the back, not on the shelf?

It would have been hilarious if this idiot had stolen all those games, gotten home, and opened them up to find that they were all empty display cases!

Reminds me of one of the stories I posted on Customer Suck about a guy who attempted to steal 27 PS2 games (still in locked security cases) in his pants.

I love the Customers Suck web site, but I can't read it too long. I work with a bunch of customers like that every day, and reading about them when i'm off work is a little too much for me. I try as hard as I can to forget them when i'm off work.

TARDIS pants--LOL. Good one, Mindfield.

One's gotta be dumb for trying to shove anything the size of a PS2 games into the trousers, especially with a couple of the store's people watching.

I worked retail for a bit myself. The place was robbed one day after I'd already left work. One of our security gurads had bruises from a set of brass knuckles the perp had used.

Oklahoma City's police got him before he left the parking lot.

Yeah, but the good part about CS is that you can post about those very customers, thus offering a bit of a cathartic release whenever one of them either pisses you off or is just too retarded to go unmentioned. Call it a bit of a stress reliever, if you will.

Ouch. I've never been witness to an employee getting a beatdown or anything, but I saw one extremely pissed-off customer toss a chair at our store manager at Future Shop once. He missed, being in a blind rage and all, but it was still a fairly spectacular blowout.

actually, and i used to work at a video rental store, it wouldn't be that hard. Blockbuster, Family Video, Hollywood video, mom & pop shop. All of these are in my area and NONE of these keep the games behind the desk, just the porn. LOL. But there is a lock protection thing that is used to release the security thing from the case. The guy could've stole this key when nobody was paying attention. Usually their just sitting right in plain view by the clerks computer. He then could've come back late at night, started poping the security things with the key and pocketing the UMDs, UMDs are not big and they would not be in the games original case, so his pants wouldn't need to be that big. A good pair of cargo pants would do the trick quite nicely.

Or, since Blockbuster uses plastic cases to store their discs, it wouldn't be all that hard to work the games out of the cases with a good box cutter or X-Acto blade.

yep exactly. The point is, it wouldn't really be that hard. The sad thing is it would take time to do 60. How he didn't get caught while in the act is suprising.

*Calgary travel warning (OT)*

Just so you know, one of the most common types of theft in Calgary are committed by individuals who run into grocery stores, steal a whole bunch of meat, stuff it down their pants, and run back out again. The meat is often then sold to downtown hotels, who have been known to prepare the purloined goods for the consumer (restaurant) market. I'd have thought this to be an urban legend but for the fact that I've prosecuted about four "meat stuffing" cases in the past few months. :D
