Cassidy Nolen #1 Posted June 12, 2006 I won, but lost..... I bought a set of Fantastic Four DVD's with the original 67 cartoons. I really wanted them on DVD, as the VHS version I recorded off of Boomerang are not that great. Anyway, I used the BIN of 20 bucks and paid his 4.95 shipping. And I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, after about three weeks and several emails, I escalated to get paypal involved. By then, all the sales this ass made on ebay had gotten neg. feedbacks and I knew I was owned. I then took it to a paypal claim, knowing that he would not respond and I would get my money "back". Bottom line, the jerk drained the account and paypal refunded me a total of 2.25 cents. I am pissed. Anybody know how to go about letting this guy know I am mad? Clearly he owes me a set of DVD's or my money back. This is the only time I have ever left negative feedback, and the only time I have ever been disappointed with ebay. I guess I have been fortunate. Cassidy BTW, the guy is [email protected] and his screen name on ebay is cebrin (not a registered user)
sku_u #2 Posted June 12, 2006 You can report him to the USPS and FBI for mail fraud. Other than that, you are SOL. It's happened to me a few times. I'm surprised this is the first time this has happened to you.
holygrailvideogames.com #3 Posted June 12, 2006 It has happened to me a few times in the past as well. The one person was investigated by the FBI (I did get my money back). I had 2 cases where I made a claim with PayPal where the seller didn't have any money left in their account. Both of those eventually paid because they wanted to open up their PayPal account again. One took a year and a half and the other one took about 6 months to get my money back.

Drache #5 Posted June 12, 2006 Just be happy you're in the U.S.! The RCMP (our Federal force) does not want to get involved in anything to do with the internet unless it is child porn. I've tried taking cases of internet mail fraud as well as hacking issues which equal to stealing of credit card numbers and they will flat out tell you they want nothing to do with it. Even when I have proof and witnesses that I know exactlly who was hacking my computer and stealing my credit card number, they told me to just cancel my card. This same person also hacked my ebay account and bid up a total of $50,000 U.S. in items (which took some doing for ebay to retract all those bids with me getting neg feedback). We have on internet task force for each 2 provinces and they will flat out tell you they won't help you with anything online unless it's kiddie porno. That just pisses me off! +RandomPerson #6 Posted June 12, 2006 Pull his info and call yours and his local police departments. If you have a case your local police department will forward to charges to his local police department and they will go hacve a chat with him. If he actually has the DVD's he will be charged with possesion of stolen goods (as they are technically yours not his) and if he doesn't have the DVD's he will be charged with Mail Fraud. It's that simple.
Buyatari #7 Posted June 13, 2006 I didn't think these were ever licensed. Are these legit? I dunno how the FBI will respond to a claim that you didn't get the bootleg dvds you bought on eBay but I have a good guess.
