Teen Titans! ... Let's go?

Why I'm intrigued;

 

1) the game is 24.99 Canadian here which is a very tempting price

2) the cartoon is brilliant in every sense and I just love the hell out of it

3) the characters have always been some of my faves Robin and Beast Boy especially

4) I love beat em ups. I've been pummeling nameless baddies in hordes for 20 years + and still dig it

 

 

Okay, so who has had the guts to try out what you are surely dismissing as a kiddy game? Is it a beat em up like I'm expecting? Real voice acting from the show intact? Is the 'flavour' of the cartoon aptly captured and will I find enough here to keep me entertained? I could check out reviews online, but the opinions of seasoned and (usually ) intelligent AA gamers is much more valuable in my eyes.

Sounds like your average third-person brawler. At least it's getting better ratings than Final Fight: Streetwise!

 

I haven't played the game yet, but it reminds me of a sketch on Robot Chicken.

The original Teen Titans team in comic books consisted of superhero sidekicks teaming together -- Batman's Robin, Green Arrow's Speedy, Aquaman's Aqualad, Flash's Kid Flash, and Wonder Woman's Wonder Girl.

 

Then came the New Teen Titans in the 1970s, which featured Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy (originally from Doom Patrol; he later adopted the name Changeling, though now he's back to Beast Boy).

 

The original team members came and went over the years, adopting new identities for themselves as they got older. Robin became Nightwing, Speedy became Arsenal, Kid Flash became the Flash after Barry Allen died in Crisis On Infinite Earths, Aqualad became Tempest (or something), and Wonder Girl went through being Troia, then Darkstar, then having no powers, then becoming Troia again.
