tbfinley2 #1 Posted May 29, 2002 I tried out the Game Cube tonight. All I can say is that I'll stick to the classics MY WEB PAGE [ 06-06-2002: Message edited by: tbfinley2 ]
geogray #2 Posted June 3, 2002 The Game Cube is great! Luigi's Mansion and Rogue Leader really show off what the thing can do and they are great games too. I'm waiting for Super Mario Sunshine and ANY classic gaming collection. BTW-Gameboy Advance has several collections already including Namco Museum and several others. But having to do so many different moves at one time with the controls, just seemed like a lot of trouble. Then, correct me if Im wrong, you have to learn different moves for each game. To much trouble. But Im sure this is the case with all of the new systems. web page
Noble Kale #4 Posted June 3, 2002 The problem (as I see it) with the latest systems, is the complexity of the controls. Too many buttons, joysticks... urgh. Talk about uncomfortable and annoying. (And I'm talking about the controls of all three systems) To think there was a time when I would be able to sit down and work out most of the stuff (ie: secret moves, etc..) As for collections, they never seem to be as good. Especially where they try to 'improve' them.....
Bez #5 Posted June 3, 2002 Err...how about posting in the right topic? The Gamecube isn´t quite a classic game.

Besides, why can it NOT be a classic now? Does it have to have been discontinued for a period of time? just curious!
moycon #8 Posted June 6, 2002 "Does it have to have been discontinued for a period of time?" Yes...According to the rule book it has to be discontinued for 27 days (In case there is a come back) before it can be considered a classic.
Atari Master #9 Posted June 6, 2002 And for it to be considerd and "Old Classic" it has to be out of production for 6 years.
MacGurl #10 Posted June 6, 2002 The game cube rocks! You can stick to your classics, but you're missing out on some awesome games. And you get used to the controls fairly fast.

It WAS out of production (more than 27 days) and then they started up again. I like the 6 year rule for 'old classic.' I'll just think of the DC and Gamecube as 'contemporary classics.' : )

Varan #13 Posted June 7, 2002 The Playstation Dual Shock Controller is my favorite console controller. Second favorite is Genesis. Third SNES. Least favorite is N64. [ 06-06-2002: Message edited by: Varan ]
