Mindfield #1 Posted June 14, 2006 So the other day someone from eBay tries to call me. I'm at work of course so Angel informs them of that fact, and the woman says she will simply send an E-Mail instead. At this point she doesn't know what it's about, but sure enough my inbox receives the following: Hello retrogaming.dude, I spoke with someone at your number who said you were unavailable. I wanted to send you a follow-up email about the benefits of our selling tool, Turbo Lister. Spam no longer effective enough? I mean, I tried Turbo Lister and wasn't particularly impressed -- I can't list in US funds from eBay.ca, and I can't choose Canadian shipping options if I list from eBay.com. Meh. I'm just surprised they're pushing this thing as hard as they are.

Meh. I'm just surprised they're pushing this thing as hard as they are. I don't particularly like the new incarnation of Turbo Lister, although I think that the last one is OK. You're right though, it isn't well set-up for non-US sellers. It seems odd that they're calling you about it. With "My Messages" they have, pretty much, a captive audience anyway. SimonTemplar #3 Posted June 15, 2006 I received the same call from ebay last week. I think that is the first time ebay ever called me on the phone.
taxman #4 Posted June 15, 2006 I'm surprised EBAY would do something that doesn't generate them extra money.
holygrailvideogames.com #5 Posted June 15, 2006 I received a call from eBay several months ago. It surprised me. I really don't care for telemarketing calls so I told them I wasn't interested. The wierd thing was they didn't call about my stlouisrams2006 account but rather some account that I had forgotten about.
