elviticus #1 Posted June 16, 2006 Just got this one, along with Wolfenstein VCS (which is incredible, I think). I like the game, and it's definitely a lot better than Caverns on the FB2... That said, I notice that sometimes I'll shoot something, and the game doesn't register that I hit it... It seems like the sound effect will go off, but the thing I'm trying to shoot is still there. Is there a problem with my copy, or is this just a bug in the game?
neotokeo2001 #2 Posted June 17, 2006 I have played alot of Conquest of Mars via emulation and I don't recall having hits not registering. I don't have a cart yet so I can't comment on that. Anyone else? Glad to hear that you like Wolfenstein. It's had a long and winding road and it is nice to finally see it out there.
atwwong #3 Posted June 25, 2006 I just received Conquest of Mars and the new Wolfenstein on Friday from the AtariAge store. Both games seem to work well and I love their game play. I have to spend more time with these two excellent games when RealLife allows for it. BTW, anyone find the easter eggs in both games yet?
Lucky Man #4 Posted June 26, 2006 This is a great game! Hard as hell, but a great game! I haven't noticed my shots not registering, but, once in a while, I'll take a shot at one of the Martian guns and while it's disintegrating, it'll fire off another round at me! Martian Bastards!!!! But I'll get them yet.

Is there a problem with my copy, or is this just a bug in the game? I'm guessing it's a bug. The Conquest of Mars that I ordered has the same problem with hits not registering and I tried it on both my Sears light sixer and my Atari light sixer. I was trying the game out to make sure everything was ok since it's for my birthday, but now I'm worried since it looks like the AtariAge store will be closed for vacation and my birthday is on the 12th. Rats! I don't think that note was up in the store when I placed my order, but it hasn't shipped yet. I guess I'm on the wait list.
