tg 16 controller advace- button not working

I got a tg-16 though the mail today. I tried it out everything with the system works except for for the ll button on the controller. I tried the 3 games I bought before the system came : Dungeon Explorer,Lengendary Axe and Alien Crush. Rest of the buttons of the controller work. The button that doesn't respond is the attack button for 2 of the games. The only game I can play with the controller now is alien Crush. I don't need the button for making the left flipper work.

 

Is there anything to do fix it like the nes buttons were able to be fixed? I remember replacing nes buttons and the controller worked great after that. I don't think the turbo pad repair cable could fix my problem. If it was the cable, all the buttons wouldn't works.

 

If there is not a way, let me know. I am checking for advice before getting a new controller since I already have plans after vacation getting a another turbo pad and a turbo tap. I am hoping not have to get 2 controllers.

have you tried taking it apart and seeing if its dirty or something else going on?

I haven't yet. I don't think I the size a screw driver to open it. The turbo button still works on upper right side despite its the button part of it is missing.

ok lets me see if im understanding you right

 

the actual button is missing? the grey button II?

 

i havent had any reason to open one of my many TG16 controllers so im not sure whats inside either

 

so you dont have a small philips screwdriver to open it?

 

they look just like the nes button so if its missing a button they might work you just need to see if the bottoms of the buttons are the same
