+atari2600land
Strawberry Shortcake is an example of a Nintendo-like non-game. There's no real objective here, just a bunch of music. I'm not saying it's bad, but honestly, I can't enjoy it because I'm not its target audience, which is kindergarden-age girls. Actually, replace Strawberry Shortcake with anything (i.e. Rainbow Brite), and it's exactly the same game. HammR25
I personally enjoyed E.T. and Pac-Man both as a kid. We owned Pac-man but not E.T.. I played that one at a friend's house and enjoyed it. I think I even managed to get E.T. home once or twice. Must have been on the easier levels or something.
shadow460
I don't even like the arcade Pac Man that much. In 1981, if I'd been tall enough to reach the controls, you'd have seen me playing Asteroids instead of Pac Man.The controls for both machines were at the same height. E.T. wasn't the worst, but it wasn't good enough. Yeah, true...but if I could have reached either set of controls, I'd be reaching for the space ship controls, not the dorky maze game ones. My daddy held me up to the machines sometimes, though. Hey, wait, when I was a kid, I remember. Pizza Hut had a cocktail Asteroids machine that I got to play a time or two. Inky
Dauber, Dauber, Dauber... Try unlocking the easter eggs in ET. It adds a new dimension to the game.
Noble Kale
Or just try stacking ET carts up in a Jenga like fashion and setting them alight with petrol...
