guitarmas #51 Posted June 28, 2006 guys I was lieing the whole damn time. I'm only in the third dungeon. I am having a great time! ( I hated to see you guys get mad) this is a great game. one for the ages. I love the way they make you explore instead of telling you what to do! Yeah, I enjoyed it when I first played it when I was young. I couldn't put it down. It was great. Grumble.
+uosipa llamxew #52 Posted June 29, 2006 (edited) I never played through The Adventure of Link; I was deeply disappointed with it at the time and never gave it much of a chance. I should really return and give it another shot. ... I've now reached and am fighting for my life in the 6th dungeon. The warlocks aren't so bad alone; I've learned how to use the shield more effectively than I did as a kid. It's the rooms with warlocks, shield-eaters, and those darn skulls that take away your sword that are giving me a rough time. I love this game! Dr. Morbis #53 Posted June 29, 2006 lol I've had the game since 1988 but never played. LOL I JUST TOOK IT OUT OF IT"S BOX A DAY AGO! I think it's fairly safe to say that this kid was not even alive in 1988, or 1989, or 1990, etc. etc.
figgler #54 Posted June 29, 2006 Are you sure the battery died? I know that sometimes save data will be erased if you turn the NES on or off without holding in RESET. I've had that happen numerous times with Zelda, Zelda II, Dragon Warrior, Crystalis, and a bunch of other games with save batteries, but I've never seen a game with a dead battery - not that it couldn't happen, it just seems odd, especially since all those games are 20 years old now with still-working batteries, but yours died when it was (I assume) much newer. Well no, I guess I'm not sure. It did erase my game that time, so I assumed and decided not to take the chance. After beating the second quest I ended up selling off the cart. Years later I must have 2 or 3 Zeldas and all the abtteries are still working on them
