Found this interesting ad...

I was perusing the July '94 issue of EGM and this ad caught my eye...

 

I noticed the "Hosenose & Booger" image and remembered it was supposed to be a Jaguar game. I wonder if this video jukebox thing was on the way for the Jaguar too?

I remember seeing that ad and only once in EGM I think it was. I was always waiting for it to eventually be said to come to the Jaguar.... but of course, that wasn't to be. I don't assume it did very well...

Yep it was planned for the Jaguar too, I had a copy of that EGM add on my wall that DID say "Jaguar - Coming Soon" on it!

 

Shame it was never released, much like their game.

Personally that seems like a completely pointless accessory, as it takes up so much more space than the console... but it seems remarkably similar in concept to the old VCS/2600 cartridge switcher switcher (what was that called, it looked like a cartridge storage rack but used an electronic backplane and switches) which seemed very cool to me when I was a kid because you could apparently daisy chain them.

In regard to the game, weird name aside, I'm not sure it was every really going to be an AAA title.

when i got into collecting in 96/97 i had this on my want list, for the longest time before i realized i would never find one

 

i had a plan of sticking it under the SegaCD2 with the original genesis, which is also nice and long

I remember seeing that ad in multiple magazines, but I can't remember which ones other than EGM. I think GamePro may have run it too.

Did "Hosenose and Boogerman" predate "Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure" or was this "totally radical" a mucosal pioneer?
