8th lutz #1 Posted July 6, 2006 http://www.gamespot.com/news/6153591.html This is nuts. If court overturns the law then it should be killed. They want the bill to be in effect despite how many times it goes to court. I am over the 18 age for a long time and I didn't live in that state. If a law is considered unconstitutionial then it get killed off. That is how laws supposed to work, not a screwed up state with politicians that think video games is more important then get the state back the way it was before Katrina. supercat #3 Posted July 7, 2006 its all about making noise and getting your name recognized, its election time for these idiots Why can't politicians work on more useful things, like figuring out ways to cut government waste, thus letting people keep more of the money they make? JimmydelaKopin #5 Posted July 7, 2006 It's not about election time, it's about distraction time. A stupid and clearly unconstitutional law is just the thing to distract the masses from the fact that Louisiana and New Orleans are spending millions upon millions...and yet the city is not even getting started on being rebuilt. I mean, expect for the brief mention of the "Forbidden Zone" (the name the media has given to the areas that aren't being rebuilt) in the recent National Guard story, there hasn't been one mention that nothing's happening in New Orleans. Seriously, I'm just sorry that someone invited that assclown Jack Thompson to Louisiana. Hey, can someone get him a room in the "Forbidden Zone"? shadow460 #6 Posted July 7, 2006 I hope they keep trying over and over. Maybe after 531 failures they will learn their lesson. Hopefully, so will everyone else. I'm sure Oklahoma will be the next state on that bandwagon, with all of our religious fanatics and pharisees. We are, after all, one of the last states to get a lottery, and those same groups of people were the reason why. Never mind that it's something people expect to have. Never mind what the rest of the state thinks. It's gotta be their way or no way. I'm going to play Unreal Tournament incessantly every time one of those people is over at my house from now on. And its gonna be loud, where they can hear the screams of dying players and the taunts of their killers.
