MattG/Snyper2099
I wasn't aware that there were gemini paddles. I take it these went with the coleco gemini system? Found them today at a thrift store.
+Mitch
Nope, they were made by a company named Gemini. The Coleco Gemini paddles were built into the joystick. Mitch
MattG/Snyper2099
Oh yeah I thought something was funny about this. The gemini had a combo paddle/joystick. I remember those pieces of crap.

Christophero Sly
I have a pair of these paddles that I'd never used before. But today while testing a big stash of controllers I plugged them in, and I have to say that these are the best paddle controllers I've ever used. Absolutely no jitter. It's quite amazing. Even the most thoroughly cleaned Atari paddles will betray a little jitter, but these track pixel-perfect. I haven't had time to open them up yet, but my guess is that these paddles aren't using a standard potentiometer. I'll be keeping an eye out for more of these beauties.
BigO
I assumed they were a part of the Gemini system, too. I think I sold mine off with my Gemini, but I agree that they were the best working set of paddles I'd ever run across.
Ferret75
Oh yeah I thought something was funny about this. The gemini had a combo paddle/joystick. I remember those pieces of crap. Didn't you have to like hold the joystick in a certain direction to use the paddle feature?

Possibly what you're remembering is that that you have to push the joystick to act as the fire button when using the paddle. (I can't remember now which direction it was.) I remember reading that the paddle wouldn't work unless you were holding the joystick to the right. x.x
