what atari 2600 game did you play the most when you were little?

what did you play the most? the most cartridge I played was pac-man because when we bought our atri it came with a rebate to get a free pacman and, to have pac-man on your tv back then was MAJOR (even though it sucked (atari pac-man))

Snoopy and the Red Baron. I was a huge Peanuts fan, and in my mind, nothing was better than a game where I could be Snoopy.

I was a teenager by the time Solaris debuted; once I got that, that became my most-played Atari game. (More played, in fact, than any NES or SMS game I owned; only my C128 saw more use.)

I don't know if there was a "played most" cartridge. We had it right from the beginning, so it was Combat and Air/Sea Battle, then Video Olympics, then Space Invaders -- played that one constantly when we first got it. I remember we got it on a trip to the "big city" and my Mom wouldn't let me play it when we got back from the trip because it was too late at night. My Dad convinced her to let me have a couple of go's at it before bed -- I figured out years later that it was probably because he wanted to play it too, but he would never do that until after I had opened and played it first. I remember hearing him play for quite a while that night after I went to bed...

After that, my friends started to get Ataris, so we would all get different games and then get together to have game marathons, one cartridge after another, collecting points for each one we beat everyone else on. Missile Command, Asteroids, Night Driver, Starmaster, Outlaw, etc.

One of the "burn fast, burn bright" cartridges was Riddle of the Sphinx. Played that intensely for a day or two until we figured out the "secret" -- unlike Adventure, it wasn't very playable once you had solved it...

It's probably a tie between Missile Command, Defender, and Pac-Man.

I could play a single game of Defender and Pac-Man forever. I wasn't as good at Missile Command, but it was one of my first games and I loved playing it.

I played a lot of 2600 games as a kid, but I think I played this one the most.

1) Yars Revenge.

That's a tough call, as I had quite a few Atari 2600 games when I was little. I know when I first started playing I loved Pac-Man, but I also enjoyed Asteroids, Space Invaders, Haunted House, the list goes on and on and on...

When I first got my 2600, it was either Night Driver, or Adventure.

Night driver IMHO is a vastly underrated game.

Mine was definately Adventure. I also played lots of Star Raiders. I remember buying Yars Revenge and liked it. I also remember buying Pac Man for mucho dollars (my breakback orange picking money from my grandfather's farm) and really thought it was lame. I was really pissed. I could have bought the AT-AT for my Star Wars collection, but oh no, had to have lame ass Pac Man. You all can see that I'm still a little bent over it. :x Have you seen what original Star Wars collectibles are going for these days?

Anyhow, can someone answer my heavy sixer post please. :)

Yes. But rest assured that your ATAT would have been removed from the box and played with, meaning it would only be worth about $70, assuming you kept it in good shape.

What pisses me off is that the Imperial Shuttle and B-Wing were both re-released while my back was turned, and now even the rereleases are too damn high. (B-Wing $150+ and Imperial Shuttle $600+). Oh, and I didn't pick up the Royal Naboo Cruiser when Toys R Us had it on sale for $20.

DOH!

Night Driver, Dodge Em, Pac-Man and Space Invaders. I never had my own VCS but these were the games my friends with Atari had, plus the Sears store at the mall always had a VCS set up with a Pac-Man cart in it so I'd play it every time we were there.

Space Invaders when it first came out as it was the pack-in and I could not afford to buy another for a while, then Asteroids and then River Raid and a heap of others as I went from school to working in a computer/Video game shop - which was the greatest job at the time.

(since when is 16 "little"?)
