You know what I hate? Pawn shops.

Recommended Posts

The one I went to was a little over priced. The owners where nice though and made up for it. I got my PS2 online adapter there for $15 bucks. About seven months later I saw they where having a sale because they where going out of business. I thought that sucked and decided to go in sometime. A week later I drove by to see if they were still open because I forgot to go in sooner. Sadly they just went out of business. I now have to rely on Ebay if I want to buy a Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Nintendo, Genesis, or 2600 game. I checked the Goodwill and Salvation Army stores here, and they have nothing. If they have something, its either a sports game or a GameGear game.

the one i went to a few years ago wasnt too bad... its somewhat local. The prices were good on games, and i got my squire bass guitar for only 125 there, and the thing was damn near new :)... but they sometimes try to jip you. Like when they lied and said they didnt have the case for the bass... i waited 20 min just waiting for them to get it, finally they got ticked off, and went in the back and got it for me.

So its not all fun and games, but if you stick up for yourself and get what you paid for, and only buy whats worthy of that price sticker you should be fine. But i will agree, its more stressful than fun to shop at them... and every pawn shop owner around here seems to have an attitude problem . I know that people suck who shop in them, but if a customer comes in smiling and is trying to have a fun time, if they have any customer service knowledge they should be able to recognize that and be nice back.

I think no matter where you sell second hand used stuff people complain about the price being a rip-off,E-bay,fleamarket,pawn shops,I myself just walk away,if the price is too high for me,but to be fair, some people want everything for nothing also, buts thats wheeling and dealing.Thats why if you're a seller ,it's important to research the value of the stuff you're selling and stick to your guns, then, because of that, you're a rip-off artist. But true, some ,sellers overprice their things cause they dont have a clue of their value,or probably dont care ,and know there's always a "SUCKER"its also the buyers responsibilty to know what the item the're buying is worth as I always do,that way i can show the seller documents,if they get pissed, tough shit!and if they're willing to go down great,if not ,walk out the door, simple, thats me,i dont have patience, for arguing prices.
