super_dos_man #1 Posted July 19, 2006 does he ever close his mouse during game play or is it just moving insanely fast? it seems like it just stays open and swallows all of the dots instead of munching them
Brian R. #2 Posted July 19, 2006 does he ever close his mouse during game play or is it just moving insanely fast? it seems like it just stays open and swallows all of the dots instead of munching them I was playing this last night for the first time in a while. I think his mouth always moves like that. Doesn't bother me. This is my favorite Pac-Man game for an Atari system.
82atari5200 #3 Posted July 19, 2006 It's just moving fast. Try pausing the game. This game made my 2600 owning friend insanely jealous.
Almost Rice #4 Posted July 19, 2006 It's just moving fast. Try pausing the game. This game made my 2600 owning friend insanely jealous. yeah, I bypassed the 2600 and got the 8bit because the graphics were so much better.

So is the 7800. All 8 bit!
+FujiSkunk #6 Posted July 20, 2006 Psst... the 2600 and 5200 are both 8 bit systems. Psst... its common convention around here to say "8bit" because "5200/400/800/1200XL/600XL/800XL/65XE/130XE/XEGS" is a bit of a mouthful. How many times are we going to have this conversation? I usually say "Atari 8-bit computers" just because 8-bit is a tad TOO generic a label.
Henry Lee #10 Posted July 21, 2006 (edited) By the way, Atari 5200's Pac-man is one heck of a conversion. I love the way he munches. He has been doing that for meerly 25 years here! Edited July 21, 2006 by Henry Lee

I usually say "Atari 8-bit computers" just because 8-bit is a tad TOO generic a label. In this case, referring to the 5200 version of Pac-Man as "8bit" is a bit of a misnomer since the 400/800 versions actually have some differences. racerx77 #12 Posted July 28, 2006 You guys aware of the bug in the 5200 version of pac-man? I can't recall which key you have to get to (I think it might be the 6th or 7th key, but there is a point where you can eat an energy pill, and they will flash blue and white the entire time (unless you eat them) This happens in every maze for as long as you play from then on... I was really disappointed. You can basically play forever.
