Inky #1 Posted July 23, 2006 About 2 years ago, I aqcuired a non-working 4 port 5200. I was wondering if any of the below couuld be part of the issue... 1) this is a 4-port with that bizarre switchbox thingie. First, I noticed the end of the wire that connects to the switchbox was re-soldered... poorly... by the previous owner. 2, on the motherboard there are a couple wires soldered from one point on the board to the cart slot. Is this normal? Also, do any of you have a snap of a 4-port you could post, so I can compare it with mine?

Are the a couple of resistors soldered together off the board that is connected to one of the points on the cartridge port? Allan
+Allan #3 Posted July 23, 2006 Did you ever try another switchbox? These tend to break a lot. Allan
Inky #4 Posted July 23, 2006 Seeing as this came with the adapter, I think you're correct. I didn't try another switchbox, as I don't have access to a second.
