Week 1 : LJN http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/company/72461.html The least liked game from them for me is Nfl for the nes. It was between that and x-men. X-Men for the NES is a disgrace. I loathe it. I do enjoy Friday the 13th, however.
rockman_x_2002 #4 Posted July 25, 2006 Ah... LJN... the grand whipping boy of the NES. I only had X-men and Friday the 13th. Ft13th was decent although it got boring for me very fast. The game consisted of rescuing kids who must've had the IQ of a cabbage as they never attempted to move, and when you finally did rescue them they stood still as a post against the wall with a simple "THANK YOU". "Yes, thank you for saving us, for we are too stupid to run or do anything in our defense to keep away from Jason. We would say our princess is in another castle, but that's a much better NES game and you should be playing it instead." The only other thing in the game was chasing down and defeating Jason, which also got boring because you did the same thing over and over again. Nice graphics, yes. Good parallax scrolling effects. It's just too bad the game was... well... boring. As for X-men... wow. A glitchy mess. Graphics flicker worse than any 2600 game, enemies seem to spontaneously do things you know they were never meant to do. Nothing in the game is recognizable except for the X-men themselves, and even that's a bit vague. So yes... LJN. They got games with good graphics on occasion. Some of them had good sound. Some were horrendous all the way around. But for one reason or another, I've never found one of their games that was particularly fun to play or something that kept me coming back for more. LJN just couldn't seem to get it straight like Capcom, Konami, and some of the third-party companies did.

JB #6 Posted July 25, 2006 (edited) I hated Back to the Future, but XMen takes the cake for sheer incompetence. I've had arguments with people that've only played emulations over it. They SWEAR it was never released and there's only an incomplete prototype ROM image. Of course, I've played an actual cartridge of the game that's suspiciously similar to that "incomplete prototype." So I can usually convince them that the game WAS released, and just sucks. But the point is any game that's so sloppy people are sure that it's a half-finished prototype NEVER should have been released. nester #7 Posted July 25, 2006 This is tough, there are so many good choices! I'm going to say X-Men. Back to the Future would probably be alright if it was called something else, but X-Men is just plain bad.
