ST 286 emulator

Recommended Posts

My ST has a special board with a 80286 chip installed so it can emulate a PC. The add on is called AT-SPEED. I've been able to boot a DOS 3.3 disk on it. Anyone know much about this? Is this a common modification?

Also, if I wanted to add a hard drive, what's the cheapest way?

I had an AT-Speed board in my Mega 2. It worked ok. Graphic apps were slow and I believe Hercules mono was supported(and CGA)???

Text apps worked pretty good. I used Work Perfect 5.1 for DOS on it at the time and was happy with it. I also used a Desktop Publisher program but it was slowwwwwwwwwwww

If you ahve text apps you want to run that are 286 compat it will do the trick!
