That Atari Flashback 2 looks pretty damn cool! What do you think?

Recommended Posts

I found one of those Atari Flashback 2's on Ebay and that how it first came to my attention. 40 built in games sounds good to me. Uses new replicas of the old CX-40's , getting better! 2/3's THE SIZE, OH BOY!!!!! :D And for $30, where can you go wrong? I thought it was a great idea! But there are some faults. Like in Pong, if the player on the right moves all the way up to the top right corner of the screen, the ball goes right through the paddle. And I think it should have more games, like all of um, but Im sure the will be figured out in a later version. I dont own one yet but this is what I've read on line :www.atari.com/us/games/atari_flashback2/7800 They also have one modeled after the 7800, but that only has 20 games. Google it, see what you find!!

FlashBack2 is pretty cool. Its what got me back into Atari and other classic gaming. The unit itself is a real Atari 2600 just with no slot for your old carts.People have done some mods to let you use your carts on it.The first FlashBack you saw is no where as good as the second one.Its really a "Nes on a chip"so the graphics look diffrent than they should.By the way you should have done this post in the Dedicated Consoles area on the forums.Theres a section just for the FlashBack2.Not a big deal but i thought you might like to know if you didnt see it before.Am new to AtariAge having joined this past April. So from one new member to a other,Welcome to AtariAge.I will see you on the forums.Play Atari today and everday.
