I would love to get one of these things but it offers no support for useing osx for uploading files and such to it. The official nintendo one has some osx mac software written for it but it is kinda pricy to use and considering the nintendo one has some limits to what you can do its not a great option. I would love to have the freedom that that GBA movie player has with my files.

For mine, I only need the Windows-only utilities if I want to put movies or GBA roms on the CF card; everything else like SMS, NES, and TG16 roms can be dropped on the flash card normally and the GBA sees them.

For the Windows-specific stuff, I don't have any problem doing it in VirtualPC.

hey i cant get virtual pc to run these as it does not recognize cd programs... also, for some reason why i dload it off the net it wont let me open it.. i forget what the error is. I would run boot camp on my intel mac, but i just dont have 200 bucks for windows xp , ya know?

Can the GBA Movie Player be used like a normal flash cart for homebrew or is it limited to media files and NES roms only?

no homebrew.. just movies, music, pictures, and famicom (nes) roms.

its not the most extensive and complex thing in the world.. but for 29.99, youd be hard pressed to find a better deal...
