StanJr #1 Posted July 27, 2006 Mainly because I am extremely proud of my talented and lovely wife, I just thought I would let everyone know that Aimee has just completed another round of super sweet Atari and NES paintings. Not sure if they are up at her site, but I know she has at least two on ebay right now (subtle pimp...). Her seller id is mrsdingman if you want to check them out. Bid if you like, but mainly I just wanted everyone to see them and for her to get some feedback. Carry on. oh, I got a link! LINK
kevincal #2 Posted July 28, 2006 That's impressive. How long did it take her?
StanJr #3 Posted July 28, 2006 Depends on the subject matter and size. That Chun-li took her about three days all told. The smaller black mage she did in a little over an hour. It all depends on arrangement, composition, number of colors, variety of pallet, resolution of graphic, etc. The more she churns out the more impressed I am. She has a Smurfs: Rescue in Gargamel's Castle and a small Star Wars Death Star Battle getting ready to be sold as well.
kevincal #4 Posted July 28, 2006 I figured that Chun-Li took quite awhile to get that kind of look. It's pretty darn unique for sure.
Jess Ragan #5 Posted July 28, 2006 Looks like a scene from Master Fighter on the NES! JR
figgler #6 Posted July 31, 2006 Stan, tell her I am mighty impressed. It's a cool idea, nice execution. I have an NES version of Street Fighter on a multi cart and that Chun Li looks really good in comparison. Probably better than the actual sprite

maibock #8 Posted July 31, 2006 I'm still pissed being late to Philly Classic a few years back and missing the Atari Superman and the Robot from Berserk - these 2 look wonderful, just not my cup o' tea..

StanJr #13 Posted August 1, 2006 I have passed along the feedback to her, guys. She says thanks and is gushing a bit. tim, yes she does commissions. you can reach her via PM to pitfallaimee. She is excited about getting back into this after taking a year off. Like I said, she has a new Smurfs and a new Death Star Battle painted as well with many more projects on the books! I'll see if I can't get her to stop for a minute and post something here for you guys. She is so stubborn sometimes...! Stan

pitfallaimee #15 Posted August 1, 2006 Hi guys! *Dusts off user ID* I appreciate all the compliments paid to my work... sometimes I get the "looks easy/glorified paint-by-number" comment, but I guess Chun-Li doesn't look very easy. I've got some great stuff in the works: Princess Toadstool Simon Belmont Marle (ChronoTrigger) Castlevania Secondary Items Final Fantasy Airship Tapper and possibly some Haunted House, and I've been wanting to do another Frostbite (Osmeroid went home with the last one!) And yes, I do commissions. I've got two in line already, but Atari stuff goes pretty quickly. An automazeon I could even do tomorrow. Just tell me what color you like. I'm hoping to "take it on the road" as it were, soon, but I'm on the fence about which shows would really be best for exhibition of this stuff.
pitfallaimee #16 Posted August 1, 2006 And here's Chun-Li if you're unwilling to click on Stan's link up there. I'll try to post some of the other paintings tomorrow. (Wait, it is tomorrow).
