AtariJr #1 Posted July 28, 2006 here is a link to an article, and a mighty cool video of future next gen ideas for the force. : http://ps3.ign.com/articles/721/721019p1.html I dont want to go into it much, but the article talks about how they are using ILM movie technology to make a "real" environment. That means no dend on a wall is the same, it accounts for the physics.. so how strong is the wall, how strong is the item hitting the wall, what velocity, what angle, etc. There will be futuristic AI now, like if you are holding a stormtropper with the force, he might try and pull out a blaster to shoot you, or grab onto something as he gets pushed away... things that are not programmed, but "determined" as what someone should do in a situation like that (freaky.. hal 9000 anyone?). Moving along, i thought that i might say some Wii ideas. If you look at the video the hand movements of the player could be used well with the wii mote/ nunchuck. Just a thought. Also, each scene has a lightsaber.. and considering they are making a game with the use of a lightsaber for the wii , this might give you some ideas. If you look carefully, most scenes start out with the lightsaber on , then turns off to do a force thing with the hands. You could possibly for the Wii hit the big A button to turn the lightsaber on and off.. when its off , you use the controller to aim and unleash your force attach that would be choosable with the dpad. I think this video shows sooo many possibilities. I mean could you image shoving a stormtrooper so many times into the wall that the building collapses becuase the infostructure has been damaged so much it would collapse? how cool! (or maybe the stormtrooper would just turn to juice at that point lol) or using your wiimote to not only use the lightsaber, but force attack.. and it looks like it would be pretty easy to come to this conclusion after seeing the movie, so here is to lucas arts hearing my hopes and dreams! King_Salamon #2 Posted July 28, 2006 Apparently someone at LucasArts was looking at the Wii and the idea of lightsaber battles came to mind. We can only hope! Star Wars on the Wii... can't wait! Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 will have to do this fall!

yuppicide #10 Posted August 7, 2006 But the controller needs a strong light coming out the top and the harder you grip the controller the longer the light goes. Just like a real light sabre.
Gabriel #11 Posted August 7, 2006 But the controller needs a strong light coming out the top and the harder you grip the controller the longer the light goes. Just like a real light sabre. I'm probably missing the joke and being an excessively anal nerd about such things, but force of grip on a lightsaber hilt has no effect on blade length. Allegedly the dials on Anakin's and Darth Vader's lightsabers can control the length of the blade and intensity, but that information is from non-canon sources. AtariJr #12 Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) yea that wouldnt make sense as they throw and flip thier lightsabers.. they dont turn off becuase they arent holding them. EDIT: actaully that is something i never understood.. if they throw them or flip it it stays on , but if they drop it in a battle it always conveniently turns off.. i never got that... you never see a lightsaber laying around ON next to a dead jedi... King_Salamon #13 Posted August 7, 2006 Because the crystals used to build the sabers are in tune with the Jedi. j/k The whole tighter grip longer blade is bull though. Perhaps there's a kill switch in every saber made...
