pocketmego #1 Posted August 5, 2006 I read up on the 2600 Hulk and apparently it never saw the light of day. Apparently only a screen shot and little info exists for the thing. Any exisiting workable prototypes? Yet, despite its non-existence, I'm posistive I saw a commercial for that game when I was a kid. I distinctly recall it being one of those Atari adds where one kid explains the games concept to another. Does anyone else remember this? -Ray
Foxsolo2000 #2 Posted August 5, 2006 I didn't even know there was a screenshot of the game I believe there was a box and artwork done for it but no one has ever seen a prototype of it. Tempest can confirm or deny this
Rom Hunter #3 Posted August 5, 2006 (edited) http://www.atarimania.com/det_cat.php?EDIT...CATALOGUE_ID=27 I'm a true believer in its existence. Edited August 5, 2006 by Rom Hunter

Shawn #5 Posted August 6, 2006 That is a Hulk mock screen shot same as the Octopussy screen mock, Sucks though cause the Hulk would be awesome. I pray it exists and is discovered sooner than later
lhfreak #6 Posted August 6, 2006 I'm a firm believer as well that SOMETHING exists out there. That screen mockup has too much detail for an artist to just whip up a drawing.
Dusk2600 #7 Posted August 6, 2006 that looks really neat, just another jem waiting to be found in a basement someday
Lord Thag #8 Posted August 6, 2006 And remember, we all used to think Lord of the Rings and Ewok Battle were a myth too
Rom Hunter #9 Posted August 6, 2006 Yep. And they were all three scheduled for Fall 1983.
Crazy Climber #10 Posted August 6, 2006 Somebody please find this one. I still have my PB catolog from the old days with HULK circled in it waiting anxiously for it to be released. At eight years old you can imagine what a huge deal an Incredible HULK game is to a kid. I'll just keep waiting and keep my finger's crossed on this one. Bond would be cool as well but PLEASE find the HULK......somebody.
Foxsolo2000 #11 Posted August 6, 2006 That is a Hulk mock screen shot same as the Octopussy screen mock, Sucks though cause the Hulk would be awesome. I pray it exists and is discovered sooner than later Yeah what I meant was that no physical screen shot existed. Mind you I agree with the others for Macdonalds and Lord of the Rings were never released and turned up in physical form so perhaps this one is still out there too
jboypacman #12 Posted August 6, 2006 The Incredible Hulk for the 2600.How cool would of that been.Put it next to your copies of Spider-Man and Super-Man.Am really surprised that there wasnt a lot more super hero games out for the 2600.Think about it how cool would it of been if there was a Batman or a Captain America game for the 2600.I could of seen them doing a Iron-Man or a Ghost Rider game too. NovaXpress #13 Posted August 7, 2006 It certainly seems like Atari and DC should have turned out more than one game. I wonder if there was some conflict between the two Warner divisions.
pocketmego #14 Posted August 7, 2006 It certainly seems like Atari and DC should have turned out more than one game. I wonder if there was some conflict between the two Warner divisions. It is strange that so many DC characters never got games on Atari, DC comics were pretty big at the time. The lack of a 2600 Batman game boggles the mind. Even though he wasn't quite as big then as he would become in the late 80's/90's. A Superman the Movie game seems like it should have been a no-brainer, not that I don't love the Superman they did make. I'd love to have seen a Defender or Space Invaders shoot em Up using Green Lantern. -Ray
+else #15 Posted August 7, 2006 How Warner gave the Dukes of Hazzard license to Coleco instead of Atari also is a strange one. I guess companies just didn't realize the value of their brands as much back in the 80s or something....
