Paul Slocum #1 Posted August 6, 2006 (edited) Can any of the current emulators output a video file? I know PCAE used to be able to, but it's pretty dated IIRC. And I'm running WinXP. Edited August 6, 2006 by Paul Slocum

Paul Slocum #3 Posted August 6, 2006 FRAPS doesn't seem to work at all on my computer.
+Marc Oberhäuser #4 Posted August 6, 2006 Strange. We use it for capturing movies from our game at the company and the only issue is that some of the machines (10% or less) won't capture the sound...
NE146 #5 Posted August 6, 2006 For capturing desktop vids (including emulator gameplay) I sometimes use vidshot capturer, which is free. You don't get any sound however.. or at least that I know of. http://www.geovid.com/VidShot_Capturer/
Paul Slocum #6 Posted August 6, 2006 I'm looking for something frame-accurate, so I don't think any of those vidcap programs would work for this. I figured out how to get it to work with PCAEWin. My main problem was that it was outputting this really old Microsoft RLE codec that none of my video editor programs would handle. I finally figured out that Windows Movie Maker will read it, and you can use that to convert it into a codec that other programs can deal with.
