StarSoldier1 #1 Posted August 9, 2006 You won't believe this but on August 8, 2006 I not only found the last game (Ghost House) I needed for my SMS set but in the mail later that same day I got Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade UBI for the NES; The Last NES game I needed to complete my entire licensed NES collection!! Anyway first things first, back to the SMS. Special thanks to Kyle and Ken at KnK Shop here in Orillia, Ontario Dpcal (Calvin) and everyone else I missed who helped me on my mission to find them all. Anyway here is some pics of my now complete US Sega Master System collection:

StarSoldier1 #5 Posted August 10, 2006 Congrats dude. Quite an accomplishment. Is collecting SMS expensive? Not really, the most cash I spend on a SMS game (Buster Douglas) was 35 Canadian and that's nothing. All the other games cost between a very low .50 to the slightly higher 10 bucks. Much easier and cheaper then the NES by the way!
+Psionic #6 Posted August 10, 2006 (edited) A complete U.S. SMS collection (115 games) is probably one of the easiest to put together as very few of the games are very expensive and used games tend to be complete due to the plastic cases (unlike the NES). It actually looks like you're missing a few games (unless you just have the loose carts, which I can't see) and some are European/Canadian versions (U.S. versions of some titles are VERY hard to find). Even so, that collection of yours looks very nice. I've got about 75 or 80 out of 115 myself, but I don't plan on going the distance as I'm not really a completist. I haven't bought any in quite a while and, in fact, I'm probably going to unload about 20 of them that I never play. Yeah, sadly I have all the carts but I'm still missing a few cases and booklets but I will worry about that stuff later. Right now I wanna play em and review em. StarSoldier1 #14 Posted August 10, 2006 how is dynamite Dux?!? I absolutely hated it! It was just so stupid; a fighting game with a cartoonish duck?! Here's my full review on it by the way. http://ryangenno.tripod.com/sub_pages/TTRDynamiteDux.htm
StarSoldier1 #15 Posted August 10, 2006 Now you gotta get the European released SMS games. incl. this: Whoa! I know that's a rare one, how much did that cost?
StarSoldier1 #16 Posted August 10, 2006 That's quite a feat for one day! Congrats. SMS stuff is pretty hard to come by. I've been very lucky. Although I usually don't find the Master stuff as easily as the NES titles, when I do they are pretty dirt cheap . I can really see them going up in value in the future. StarSoldier1 #19 Posted August 10, 2006 the CDX isn't that a Segacd and a genesis combined? Yes, it's a Genesis, Sega CD, and portable CD player in one. Great unit!
jsoper #20 Posted August 10, 2006 (edited) *laughs* The PBC on the CDX is priceless. And a 32x on a CDX isn't much better. Congrats on completing US SMS. I'm 26 (out of 114) games away myself, R-Type and Montezuma's Revenge are my current favorites. Couldn't get into Phantasy Star at all, maybe because I completed NES FF first. IMHO, the system doesn't get the respect it deserves. Edited August 10, 2006 by jsoper

Phantasy Star is pretty dam good but it can be a tough one to like since the dungeon are in 3D and hard to navigate through for one. Oh well.
youngskywalker #22 Posted August 14, 2006 Congrats on the complete SMS collection. How long did it take you to collect all of the titles?
StarSoldier1 #23 Posted August 15, 2006 Thanks I would say it took over 6 years. I didn't want to rush it.
