JacobZu7zu7 #1 Posted August 11, 2006 I bought this game cheap. I played it about 5 times. I have gotten the score 9,999. Then I lost my 3rd guy. And the game ended. I have mixed opinions on this game, I think it's cool, surfing the air-shooting enemies. The catchy tune. But it's sorta easy, one trick pony. If 9,999 is the highest score.. then I have mastered this game faster then any other I have played Digital Press voted this the top 10 worst games. I dont see it as bad. I played much worse, like ... Spikes Peak, Space Jockey, Laser Blast, Homerun, Slot Racers, Space Cavern. Some bad rated ones I haven't played, like Ssssnake, I never played that. Kid Ice #2 Posted August 11, 2006 When was that DP poll? I don't recall that one. BTW, in a clinical setting the music in that game caused brain damage in laboratory rats. Gotta love the smiley face in those Mythicon games though.

Reminds me of Pitfall, actually. If it had come out at that time it might have been a hit.
shadow460 #4 Posted August 11, 2006 You're not missing much with sssnake. It sssucks.
Lord Thag #5 Posted August 11, 2006 Yeah, it's not horrible. Spikes peak is actually pretty fun, once you get the hang of it. Lazer blast is mindless, but entertaining. If you really want bad, check out Bugs, Ssnake, and oh, say, Firefly or Warplock. Then go see your shrink and twitch a bit
shadow460 #6 Posted August 11, 2006 Sike's Peak is very challenging. It's like ET, though. If you don't read the book and pracitce, you'll have no idea what you're doing. Once you get familiar with the controls, you can climb that mountain repeatedly. If you want to put about half of your mind into a game, though, flip the cart over and play Artillery Duel instead. Gotta love the smiley face in those Mythicon games though. HERE IS THE LIST OF 10 ... from Digital Press. Digital Press' Top 10 Games: Adventure Jr. Pac-Man Kaboom! Laser Gates Missile Command Mountain King Pitfall 2 Quick Step River Raid Space Invaders Digital Press' Worst 10 Games: Fire Fly Football (Atari) Karate Picnic Racquetball Sea Hunt Sorcerer Spiderdroid Sssnake Star Fox ---- hmmm including all game types/genres? Quick Step? Are these in order? probably not.
NovaXpress #8 Posted August 11, 2006 On the worst 10 list, Sorcerer should be replaced with Skeet Shoot.
D.Yancey #9 Posted August 11, 2006 Picnic is not so bad if you play it with paddles.
shadow460 #10 Posted August 11, 2006 Picnic is actually a little bit entertaining. Star Fox, though...yeeccch!
Godzilla #11 Posted August 11, 2006 i mildly enjoyed all of mythicons game and i especially loved their funky music. Their games are now where near as bad as say, raft rider, is.
supercat #12 Posted August 11, 2006 Football (Atari) I don't think it's fair to put Football in that list. Sure it was primitive, but I remember my friends enjoying it back in the day. Besides, predicting the "First Down Line" should be worth something. Besides, if one is going to include old games in the list, wouldn't "Home Run" be a better candidate? godzillajoe #13 Posted August 11, 2006 I love the fact that some of the "bad" games are getting playing time. Anyone else wanna fess up to the love of a crap game? I just picked up Racquetball so I'm gonna have to give that one a decent shot and see if it has any value to me. Someone mentioned Warplock, I played the hell out of that when i first got it. But then again I'm a sucker for "if it moves, shoot it" games. Anyone like Cosmic Creeps? That's one I picked up recently that doesn't seem to have a point and is too easy. jboypacman #14 Posted August 11, 2006 Sorcerer is quite a cool game.It was one of those games that i had never heard of so i ordered it.I didnt expect much from Sorcerer but was surprised. It was a simple and fun game.

Hey yeah, I have some crappy favorites. I really like E.T. - and now Porky's even though the damn 4th screen is impossible! Warplock I forgot I owned! I was looking for it, but looked in my collection and I have that! How and when??! heheh. I need to try that one. Raquetball I have, I found it kinda fun. I mean how accurate can a 2600 be for this sport! Its a decent game, in its own way. ----------- Digital Press put Sorcerer and Picnic on top 10 WORST games. I just bought both !!! Luckly Sorcerer I liked. I hear Shadow seemed to enjoy Picnic so I hope to also. And I wanna learn how to PLay Spikes Peak, if the manual helps that much ... I have this game with Ghost Manor on the other side. Digital Press' Top 10 Games: (here's my take on similar games which I like better, my choices are on the right) Adventure = E.T. ok something stronger = Haunted House Jr. Pac-Man = Mrs. Pac-man Kaboom! = GI Joe Cobra Strike/Pressure Cooker Laser Gates = (never played) Moonsweeper Missile Command = Missile Command Mountain King = Solar Fox/Blueprint CBS! Pitfall 2 = Pitfall! Quick Step = Frogger (best hopping game ) River Raid = Frostbite/Keystone Space Invaders = Centipede Okay.. that I did quick but I agree with what I like MORE! kirin jensen #16 Posted August 12, 2006 Any worst 10 list for the 2600 that doesn't include Springer isn't looking very hard. Then again, I'd put Miner 2049er on that list too.
Vic George 2K3 #17 Posted August 12, 2006 Sorceror only made me glad it was $1 that I wasted on this dud, as was Star Fox.
NovaXpress #18 Posted August 12, 2006 Remember that the Mythicon games sold for $9.99 brand new, so they were supposed to be "bargain" titles. And I still like Sorcerer.
JacobZu7zu7 #19 Posted August 14, 2006 I think Sorcerer is better then most of the other 26000 duds. It does have a nice theme to it, different enemies, lightning, music ...

Yessss, YEAAAAH... I played Spikes Peak again, I didn't even read the manual. I just decided the only way to get out of the first mountain climb, is to duck behind that big orange square! Then I was able to go on , to the next stage, then.. the next. I am still on the ICE level. But I have a lot more respect for this game! I would actually call it fun. THANK U Shadow for mentioning its worthy! I swore there was no way to get past that bleep eagle. I was wrong. I am also glad I included this game as a worst, otherwise I'd never had gotten help on it

Fess up and admit to the enjoyed crap ...lol. I like, E.T., (NOT the movie) I also like others, maybe i'll post on a new topic...
jboypacman #22 Posted August 15, 2006 Hey i like Space Jockey and Sub-Scan as well as Sorcerer.I guess i love bad games.Well except E.T. still think that game is bad.
