StarSoldier1 #53 Posted August 21, 2006 Stadium Events runs for like $900, right? I only have like 50 games atm, so meh. : / Yeah, that game usually sells for that much on eBay. You may get lucky though, eh?

You may get lucky though, eh? Possibly, there has to be one out there, somewhere. Unfortunately, I still can't even find Zelda, or many of the other common NES titles. :/

StarSoldier1 #56 Posted August 22, 2006 Can you guys list me some games I should keep an eye out for? Basically Stadium Events Bubble Bobble 2 Flintstone 2 Stack Up Complete are some of the hardest to get licensed NES still out there.

Atari Master #58 Posted August 22, 2006 Hmm... I'll keep an eye out. Know of a good place I could get Zelda for a good deal? Everywhere I've found it they want $30.
rjchamp3 #59 Posted August 22, 2006 I could have got bubble bobble 2 15.00 at the time I did not know about the rarity level. My second best deal was Nosferatu for snes 3.97 with shipping new and sealed to my house............. with tax tip everything hahahahahah

Did you try eBay or any other online auction? I bet you can get it for 5 to 10 bucks.

Dr. Morbis #62 Posted August 23, 2006 Yeah, problem is I don't trust the sellers much on ebay. Afraid I'd get scammed. Nothing ventured, nothing gained FWIW, I've had roughly 500 transactions on eBay, and I've been ripped off exactly 3 times. Those are pretty good odds I think. There are those who think that most people are inherently good, and there are those who think that most people are inherently bad. If eBay's any indication, I'll go with the former

+remowilliams #64 Posted August 24, 2006 (edited) Yeah, problem is I don't trust the sellers much on ebay. Afraid I'd get scammed. Understandable, but always carefully check the feedback for the seller. To put it in perspective, I've now clocked over 500 ebay transactions (member since '98), and never once been scammed. I've had about 30 great trades/buys from AA members and been ripped off once for over $100... Edited August 24, 2006 by remowilliams

I just turned 18 a few months ago.
Mr_8bit_16bit #66 Posted August 25, 2006 Well, Star Soldier. You've got an impressive collection there. Tell me: since you have the entire licensed collection of both NES and SMS games I would consider you an authority on the matter (assuming you've actually played them all). What would you say the ratio of gold, good, meh, and crap is for both systems. What are your top 10 "popular" games and top 10 "unpopular" games for each system and for the two combined? Which system do you prefer for it's software, and after your break, do you intend to do the same thing with the 16-bit systems? 800 NES games... wow. I thought I was doing not too bad at just over 100 NES games... heck, 800 is round about what I have total between all my systems, and you effectively have that tied with just one system... impressive. How many games do you estimate you have total? And how many (and what) systems is that including?
Atari Master #67 Posted August 25, 2006 I find that Zelda for the NES has dropped in price a lot on ebay. NICE! Maybe collecting vintage games is dying some? More for me!

Thanks, I know this sounds like a plug but my top ten list and reviews on some the crap is on my grand website the awesome: Videogames101.com! I love playing games so I'm not just a collector either. As much as I love the SMS, the NES is my favourite gaming machine of all time and has a great list of groundbreaking titles. My collection of 16-bit titles is pretty small I don't think I'll be able to collect all of them.
StarSoldier1 #69 Posted August 25, 2006 I find that Zelda for the NES has dropped in price a lot on ebay. NICE! Maybe collecting vintage games is dying some? More for me! Zelda was a very big hit for Nintendo and sold over 4 million copies so there are plenty to find and that's why it's so easy to get on eBay. If vintage collecting is dying off then how come I can't get Bubble Bath Babes for under 400 bucks!

Lol Zelda used to go for like $30 complete. Now I've seen it for like $10.00.
