yuppicide #11 Posted August 23, 2006 I've been on DP forums before, but I hate the colors there. This color scheme is so much nicer.
Christophero Sly #12 Posted August 23, 2006 I've been on DP forums before, but I hate the colors there. This color scheme is so much nicer. I don't like the default DP skin either, but you can change it to one that is very close to the AA skin.
Room 34 #13 Posted August 23, 2006 Sorry man, but the thing that makes a forum worth visiting is a critical mass of users. Not to say AtariAge (and, I suppose, Digital Press, although like some others here I find the look of the site so jarring that I can't even stay there long enough to figure out how to change it) has the eternal monopoly on vintage game forums, but the fact is, there are so many people here, and so much discussion going on, that there's little reason for many/most of us (well, me at least) to bother going anywhere else for a fix. SteveW #14 Posted August 23, 2006 I recently signed up for Digital Press's forums because I wanted to let them know that I was selling a rare NES cart on eBay. I use the MyApple setting, which lets me see avatars but none of the other annoying graphics. I don't bother checking the site too much, though. Just don't care for the place. oldgames #15 Posted August 23, 2006 Agreed. I like it here much better. No need for another forum. I love AA also, Yuppicide, but a little new blood never hurts anything. I'm a Mt Dew fanatic also, but every now and then I try a little Mellow Yellow and it ain't bad either. Also the TI99 angle is a niche all to itself. I don't mind encouraging the younger folk a little as long as they've got their priorities straight! Classic gaming forever! Dave

That's what I do, too -- but in snipping all the "meseta" and annoying jitter, you also lose the posting dates, which makes the forum hard to use IMHO. There's a lot of traffic at DP but even more noise.
