I think a nice one of those would go for around that price complete. And I have seen them sell for that much a few times complete but missing instructions would hurt the price for sure. I just sold a Stronghold instructions for $50 and cakewalk would also fall around that price, instructions could go for alot more but that was what price I thought they are worth. Now if you look at those boxes and carts in that auction they are near perfect and when was the last time they were for sale? It might be worth it since they are very hard to find.

Are the instructions the only way to tell if they are PAL or not?

 

The only mint ones I've seen came from the batch that poped up a few years back and I thought all of those were complete but there were some PALs in that batch as well.

 

Not saying the seller is trying to pull a fast one he is mostly a Nintendo collector and might be a victim.

2600.com has the instructions in stock for some time now around $90 each and you might be able to get them a little lower. At the opening price and they seem to be in mint condition and then with your investment in the instructions that might be ok in price. 2 things, first see how good 2600.com instructions look and then make sure the carts in the auction are NTSC. It might not hurt to offer to buy both for a little better deal. Good luck you dont see those 2 boxes very often.

Wow! That's a lot of dough. I personally only have Stronghold loose, and I am happy with that. I would love to own that Cakewalk though. I do have a Cakewalk repo made by some great guy that is topnotch and does the trick for now.

These are NTSC and came from a very reliable collector and are exactly what they say they are. Even though someone used the BIN, I think they are trying to bait me into giving them money. Here is the email I just received from the "buyer":

So even though it would be nice if the person pays, it looks like I got screwed out of my ebay fees I'll keep you posted. As far as the price goes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I've had 3 decent offers for both. I may end up going that route in the end, but we'll see.

Thats a scam dont waste you time with them! Report them to Ebay ASAP and relist your items and you should be able to get your fees back without a problem.

Now why did you not post early on that they were your auctions? With how rare the games are you might have been able to sell them right here without the fees and this scam. If you got few good offers you should just work it out with them. By the way your boxes are very nice as I said in the post above your price was not to bad.

Sorry I didn't post earlier. I don't spend much time bumping around on the forums too much. Most of my internet time is spent listing stuff on ebay. I'll keep that in mind for the next batch of auctions though

Just an FYI, the buyer just got NARU'd, thanks to myself and a few others on ebay that I alerted to this scam. I also contacted the local police department, if they by chance send me a check.
