Anyone besides me looking forward to this game? It's said to be a spiritual successor to Earthbound. It looks great thus far!

 

Any solid release date?

October 10th from what i've heard, I think it has a lot of good ideas and some strong potential. But the sprites and wonderful looking painted backrounds look totally jarring. The sprites have that very simplistic look to them and the backrounds well... don't.

yea i found the look very weird as well.. as if the backgrounds were supposed to look real and the characters not... it makes the two elements feel very detatched. Its still on my radar though, but unless the gameplay rocks the house it will be on near last priority on my ds want list. I heard it was like animal crossing and earthbound too, and that makes me a bit intruiged.. but i guess well just have to see...

I'll pick it up because more likely than not it will end up being rare so I'll pick it up and sit on it if it's no good. Just like with lost in blue and lost magic.

I don't think it's rare yet but it could be. And yes it sucked hard, they botched the main idea terribly.

Yes I can't wait and it sucks they delayed it, it would have been great to have had this month too for a trip I am going on.

Personally, I don't think any DS games will be really rare. And since Lost Magic is one of the few RPG games around for the DS, many have probably already purchased it.

Lost in blue is already getting up there in price as welll trauma center and phoenic wright after these last print runs.

That's because they ahd there last print runs recently, with the sequels coming out they wont get anymore.

I know there is a sequel to Pheonix coming somewhat soon, but besides the Wii adaption is there a Trauma Center sequel in the works for the DS>?

Is anyone actually playing this game? I picked it up a couple weeks ago, and checked it out briefly, but i only now got around to my second sitting with it. Is it just me, or is it really hard? All the comparisons to Earthbound had me thinking that the first half of the game or so would probably be a walk in the park, but this is not so. It's pretty complex, and i have taken many a beating. Interesting stuff though, and i've got a feeling the perseverence will pay off big time.

Terrible combat.

 

It all averages out to a pretty good, but not fantastic, game.
