Building a 7800 into a 5200, so you could play all 3 systems from one unit?

Recommended Posts

It's something I've thought about. Is there enough room for a 7800 pcb inside a 5200 case? Just dremel a hole for the 7800 cart slot and play 2600,5200, 7800 and A8 conversions from one system, schweeet! :ponder:

This is as close as you get.

That idea deserves a custom molded case. IT owuld look much better.

Sure modded case would be nice. But, I would take it.

I agree, a very pathetic effort, that guy should really get a clue.

Jeez, Those are pretty rude statements. I'm sure the guy who built it put a lot of time into it. I'll betcha it works. Folks here are pretty judgemental about some of these things. I got some rude comments here about my defender controller I built when I was 12! with parts and supplies available to me in 1979. Kinda takes the incentive out of sharing. I bet there Are a lot of users here who have made things and decided not to share them with us due to the way some of them are critiqued. I'd like to see everything that people have made over the years.

Sorry, but you need to be judgemental about projects as f****d up and ugly as that one. If some dweeb whose only Saturday night date is a soldering iron starts crying like a baby, too damn bad.

I'll say it again -- pathetic!

BTW, the year 1995 just called that guy's website and asked for its HTML code back.

Nice mod, looks ugly as crap though. Should have a custom case, maybe a Jaguar built in also if possible.

Fugly or not - I can respect keeping the 7800 case on top for inputs and also enforce the idea it is 2 systems.

If given for free I wouldnt turn it down ;)

How the f*@# do you make a custom case? Get real people. That is a hell of a lot better than having systems laying all over his room. If I tried it would involve a roll of duct tape and be on the Red Green Show. How is that for an old fart.

By buying materials and a few tools, then sitting down with a pencil and paper to design something?

It's not really that hard, though you're limited by your source hardware in this case.
