Gabriel #1 Posted September 5, 2006 The videogame press is becoming progressively more useless. A while back I read about Enchanted Arms for the X360. I was interested in a Japanese style RPG for the Microsoft box, but quickly lost my interest when the article I was reading categorized the game as an action RPG of the Diablo sort. The other day I saw it in a store and decided to hunt down an online review. The review tells me an entirely different story about the game and describes the combat engine of the game as a turn based, squaregrid, tactical RPG style. So, what is it? Anyone have this game? sega saturn x #2 Posted September 5, 2006 It isn't anything like diablo that's for damn sure. I have heard mostly positive things from people who own it. It's uninspired but it plays well by all acounts.
moycon #3 Posted September 5, 2006 Yep I pretty much heard the same thing. It's very well done and has amazing visuals, but doesn't really raise the bar and is pretty straight forward, linear and from what I heard pretty easy. I would have gotten the game regardless, I love traditional turn based RPGs but what really set this one apart is that you can find and collect Golems and use them to fight against other people online. Golem Vs Golem. Sounds pretty keen.
dalton4life #4 Posted September 6, 2006 If you like JPRG games you should like Enchanted Arms. I hear it's pretty good, but nothing that would blow you away. It's the only game of it's type right now on 360 unless you count FFXI.
moycon #5 Posted September 6, 2006 Speaking of Final Fantasy XI, They dropped the price on that one to $29.99. Overstock.com has it for $28.49 I can't keep up with the games I have (Saints Row is amazing) but that price is making me think twice.
sega saturn x #6 Posted September 6, 2006 The main complaints toward ffxI I've heard is the game just requires too much time and not nearly as many people are playing anymore. But if you love mmo 30$ seems like a good deal.
