ewing92 #1 Posted September 9, 2006 Saint's Row for the 360 ahhh.... This is an amazing game. I got it Monday, and by Thursday, I had 17 hours on it. Then I tryed the Xbox Live part of it, and it is alot of fun, it lags REALLY bad though, i think they are getting a patch to fix that soon though. Blinged Out Ride is my favorite XboxLive minigame thing. And I think it will be easier to get all the achievements than getting them for my other games, because that game, i could just do it for hours, and try to complete everything for the achievements, and other games, I have to try to do the same thing over and over again to get an achievement, or go out of my way to get one, but no, in this game, the achievements work in excellently with the completion rate. I'm pretty far in the story mode also, and the Westside Rollerz are a thing of the past. It's the only game I've been playing.
NE146 #2 Posted September 10, 2006 I personally think the game blows (sandbox games dont appeal to me).. but I guess it's all preference. But, it does have me going around the house annoying the wife and relatives by flashing signs and shouting: WHEN YOU'RE SAINTS ROW! YOU'RE SAINTS ROW FOR LIFE NIGGAH!!! BITCH, HOLLA IF YOU WEAR THE PURPLE! PRINCE O.G. WESTSIDE etc. So sue me. I think I'll play the game a little more tonight and see how much stuff they built in that I can do without doing missions
+remowilliams #3 Posted September 10, 2006 LOL Saints Row is a lot of fun. Definitely not an original concept, but what it does - it does very well. The minigames are fun, and the dialog, voice acting, in game cut scenes and missions that play out the major story arcs are great. The additional detail in graphics and world behaviour that are afforded by the 360 over previous platforms makes it that much more enjoyable. It's nice for a change to be playing this type of game without washed out textures, horrible poly count models, short draw distances, massive amounts of haze, bad texture filters and indoor/outdoor loading stuff. I love the fact that you can actually walk into buildings from the street, not just transport from one disconnected zone to another. In other words a much 'realer' friendlier interactive sandbox Of course - if you don't like say... Vice City - well you probably won't like Saint's Row
moycon #4 Posted September 10, 2006 I love it. It's killing me because I played for a few hours, then decided to finish Ninety Nine Nights before tackling a new game. I keep wanting to play it, but won't. It's almost exactly like GTA except way better looking and for me easier to control. I like the fact that when you walk into a building, there is no load screen, you just walk in and out, some of the activities are off the wall too, Like driving around politicians while they are having sex in the back seat and keeping away from the news vans trying to catch the act on film....or the insurance fraud...LOL Definately enjoying it more than I ever did GTA. Well what little I played so far.
dalton4life #5 Posted September 10, 2006 (edited) I like this game a lot too. I was shocked by how well it was put together. It's like GTA except not as aggravating and with way better graphics. There's great background chatter among the pedestrians. They'll diss you for wearing the same outfit for too long. That's pretty funny. xenomorpher #6 Posted September 10, 2006 I love this game. Anyone try out the pimpcane shotgun? I like the cheat system with the phone. I can't figurer what Wrath Of God does yet. Aside from little blood, its a perfect game. Ragdolls make up for it greatly. It would be nice if it had a splitscreen option for multiplayer. Not everyone where I live has Broadband or an XBOX360. I got to check out the Insurance Fraud, it made me laugh out loud when I read it.
Brad2600 #7 Posted September 11, 2006 I want to buy a 360 someday so I can play games like this. I know I'd like it for sure.
2600Lives #8 Posted September 11, 2006 I don't have a 360 yet, but I must say that I totally love your avatar, Kepone. Big John may be gone, but he'll never be forgotten.
ewing92 #9 Posted September 11, 2006 I have 23 hours on it so far, it is just so addicting. and for some reason, I can't get past the last Los Carnales mission, i tried about 15 times so far, and it REALLY REALLY pisses me off. I wiped the Westside Rollerz out though. haha, stupid Roller bitches....they were pretty easy I thought, and I haven't really tackled the Vice Kings, just alomst half way through them, I'll play some more today though, and then see if i can beat the Vice Kings. +remowilliams #10 Posted September 11, 2006 I have 23 hours on it so far, it is just so addicting. Yeah it really is! I had seriously low expectations for this game - until I got the demo. Then I couldn't wait to get the real deal! I couldn't stop playing until I loaded up Test Drive Unlimited to see how it was. Then I got totally hooked on that - I drove 440 miles (real miles!) on the first day I had it. Anyhow I've got just the Rollers left. I'll get back to them. +remowilliams #11 Posted September 16, 2006 Well, I finished Saints Row. That ending sucked Ah well, I was expecting that. Hello sequel!
Vic George 2K3 #12 Posted September 17, 2006 Probably the only thing I like about it, at least seeing it from a commerical, is its character customization mode. The name of this game, however, basically invites parody and satire.
slip81 #13 Posted November 20, 2006 I got this one as a rental and wasn't interested enough to keep it more than a few days. I think I'm just getting bored with this kind of game. Maybe I'll buy it when it hits $20 or so.
