Return of Heracles...Help!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm trying to run Return of Heracles on an Atari 800 emulator. OK, it's been a while... once I put in the disk -- what do I do? I assume I'm supposed to load and run something, but I don't even remeber how to get a directory of the disk. Help me please. Thanks.

Thanks -- I got it to work. I think I was thinking of the C64 when I was talking about loading and running files. Anyway, It's a great game. I'm glad I was able to play it again.

I really, really got hooked on this one. It had the whole role-playing thing about it IIRC, where you manage the hit points of all your characters and solve the areas. I remeber troming around in the garden of Diana (or was it Athena?) and I was tured into a deer, or was it the minotaur after me, who knows. The graphics were simple, and really I'm not sure the game was even "good" but it had an addictive quality.

HA I knew it sounded familiar. I have that game. I bought it at the market for 10 cents. This guy had all his sons boxed software for 10 cents each. All 80s in great shape. I picked up all the games and left the utilities. There isn't alot of discussion on the disk and cassette based software and I don't have the space to set up an 8bit computer so I just forgot about it.

So where do I find the emulator to run this? Same place as the hosted ROM?

You can get the emulator and the OS ROM images here.

Sounds like a great deal on those boxed games. Was there anything else of interest in the lot?

Thanks for the link. Gunna have to try that out.

As for the games I was pretty excited. Lots of Infocom adventures, some EA biders and a bunch from a company called datasoft is all I remember. I want to say I bought about 60 titles. I love the old style of packaging from the early 80s. The early artwork and funky boxes is really cool and even if they aren't sought after for 10 cents a pop you can't go wrong.
