godzillajoe #1 Posted September 15, 2006 What purpose does the sea otter or beaver serve? Does it kill you if you're on the edge of a log or something? That seems awfully easy to avoid. Honestly, in all my years of playing the game, I've never had a run-in with it. Also, when I was a kid, I heard that on the 13th screen you could ride on the back of one of the trucks. Anyone know if this is true? Sounds like crap to me. I guess I could just bust out MAME and try it but I figured I'd ask.
lost child #2 Posted September 15, 2006 (edited) The last time I played at the arcade, the otter did kill me. I forget if it just swam to the log I was on or what, but I was surprised. For years I thought it was a harmless bottle bobbing down the stream. otter in bottle camouflage(it kind of looks like a bottle! sort of!) godzillajoe #3 Posted September 15, 2006 I actually DID bust out MAME and played it. The otter rises up out of the water, bares his fangs and kills you! Evil bastard. Still, he's pretty easy to avoid.
jpfalcon2003 #4 Posted September 21, 2006 The Otter would have been awesome in the 2600 version. Does anyone know if the Otter is included in the 5200 version? Will the Otter be in the 7800 Version?

yuppicide #7 Posted September 24, 2006 I just played the game until level 14. No truck riding for me. The otter is easy to avoid in earlier levels, but when the movement starts getting fast up in the water you get caught by the otter much more. I'd say from Level 9 onwards.
