Atari Master #1 Posted September 19, 2006 Today I hit a pawn shop and found 2 game genies for 4 bucks a pop. I have a question, though. I didn't buy them, because on the bottom it looked like the pins had green on them or something. I was wondering if this was normal or not. I did get a boy and his blob for like $4.00, though. Don't know if its rare or not.
warmachine #2 Posted September 19, 2006 It's just corrosion on the copper contacts. Some very fine grit sandpaper and electrical contact cleaner will make them work like new.
Atari Master #3 Posted September 19, 2006 Hmm, I'll have to see... Don't know. It didn't look like it was on the copper, though.
Video #4 Posted September 20, 2006 It may be corrosion from the old NES that it was in then. Either way, it should be easily cleaned. If your going to use it in the toaster, make sure the one you get has the handle intact, as it's difficult to use wituout it.
