ATARIPITBULL #1 Posted September 25, 2006 I just got this small piece of Atari history, with a few other things this month. Its a Trix cereal box with a chance to win a Atari 2600 system with 5 games; (Space Invaders, Circus, Combat & a 2 others) and also would have come with a 19" Magnavox color tv. I bought one of those plexi glass display's to protect the cerial box. I also got another Activision tote bag for Pitfall II. Got a neat looking Atari score board. I finaly got the last of the Atari game paks: Back to school. and I just received a copy of Aliens Return from CPUWIZ and a copy of Ewok Adventure. I love this stuff. A.J. Franzman #2 Posted September 25, 2006 FYI Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure is not Pitfall II.
+Propane13 #3 Posted September 25, 2006 Hmm... I wasn't aware that Ewok adventure had a release. Even if they made a new cart for it (which people in the community like to do for protorypes), I'm surprised to see it's in a Parker Brothers cart. Are they all like that? How many are there? Did I miss something? Why does my left arm itch? -John
Technosis #4 Posted September 25, 2006 Nice Atari Back to School Pak....I've never seen that before. SteveW #5 Posted September 26, 2006 I saw that CPUWIZ was selling Alien's Return, but I don't recall seeing a reproduction of Ewok's Adventure. I would have tried to buy it.
Big Player #6 Posted September 26, 2006 That Trix box is very valuable. I can see from the box front that it contains the original formula of the cereal, before some dumbass at General Mills changed it to the current one. I would rather eat that 24-year-old Trix than the current version anyday.

WP Yep, there's now Wildberry, Grape, and Watermelon. They also added Lime at one time too. They also change the shapes too. I agree - The original is so much better! It's like with Lucky Charms - Sometimes too much variety ruins a good cereal. Edited September 26, 2006 by Chickybaby
jboypacman #9 Posted September 26, 2006 Very cool swag.Always fun to get stuff like that.

Did you see they have Chocolate Lucky Charms now? I'm not kidding, It's like Coco Puffs with rainbows
Philflound #12 Posted September 26, 2006 There are many valuable cereal boxes. Lots of these come out with limited editions, like the haunted ones from the past couple of years. Limited production runs like any other thing will always command a premium. Phil
+atari2600land #13 Posted September 26, 2006 So in 24 years, my SpongeBob cereal boxes will be valuable? Cool (although then I'll be in my late 40s.)

Yeah, I can't even eat Lucky Charms anymore, but it was my favorite cereal for 20 years. Cool Trix box ATARIPITBULL. AND a good candy. Remember when they added caramel to Whatchamacallit?? It went from one "Jam-Up" new candy bar to just another damn mouthful of nasty caramel and chocolate I still buy it from time to time and try to scrape the caramel off so I can eat it. Crazy Climber #19 Posted September 27, 2006 (edited) Hey Pitbull, I have a box for the Modular Cart Library you can have for free for your collection if you pay shipping. Almost Rice #20 Posted September 27, 2006 Remember when they added caramel to Whatchamacallit?? It went from one "Jam-Up" new candy bar to just another damn mouthful of nasty caramel and chocolate I still buy it from time to time and try to scrape the caramel off so I can eat it. Thats the difference. I did not have one in 20 years and I could not place it, but the bar did not taste as I remember it. Now I know.

Godzilla #22 Posted September 27, 2006 how many of those pal itt games are pal only, unique titles? I'd love to see a list of original 2600 games that never made it to ntsc...
Rom Hunter #23 Posted September 27, 2006 (edited) how many of those pal itt games are pal only, unique titles? All of them. The one shown above is costum made. It's not a genuine ITT Family Games title. ITT Family Games is from Germany. Most of these games also exist in NTSC format, but were never released as such by ITT Family Games. Godzilla #24 Posted September 27, 2006 yea i know that was a custom ntsc 'remake.' I have hell driver and some other pal itt games myself. I was just wondering if anyone knew 'which came first' on these and (as I said,) what original (non-pir8/hack,) pal only 2600 titles are there?
