Haunted House Spray Painted Box?

I just received my first copy of Haunted House, and the box looks a bit funky to me. Most of the box is the typical brown color that you would expect, but the left side and back has what looks to be a spray painted bluish color. Spray painted texture and everything. The wierd thing is that the lettering is not spray painted, nor is the sample picture on the back of the box and it clearly would be if this were real spray paint as all areas around it have the color on it. This would indicate that the bluish spray painted looking color had to be applied before the lettering on the box during printing?

 

I was getting ready to send this back to the guy I bought it from. Any ideas on how this box got this way or maybe its normal?
