opinions on 2600 Super Baseball

Was thinking of getting this game for someone as a gift. Is this a good game for the system? Never played this one and wanted to hear someone's opinion on the gameplay.

It's basically the same as RealSports Baseball. I don't find either of them very fun. The best baseball game for the 2600 is Pete Rose Baseball.

Yeah go with Pete Rose. It'll drive you crazy at first but when you figure out the strange fielding mechanism, it's much better.

 

Super Baseball is Real Sports Baseball with a few minor graphic changes.

 

I don't know why they released it.

 

I mean, Super Football was a brand new game and really cool but its baseball counterpart sucked.

Super baseball is a lot rarer then people think it is one of the last supposedly common games that I got which of course was over the internet. As far as the game play is concerned I don't know still waiting for it to arrive.

It was too easy to steal bases in Realsports, they fixed it in Super. They also made the graphics about .02% better.

 

BTW - I just recently played a few games of realsports with a friend of mine and we had a blast. By the last game I had drank so many beers I passed out on the couch in my basement in the sixth inning and woke up on it the next morning (just like the old days) - LOL - Me and him used to play this game for hours when we where kids until I bought Baseball Stars for the NES. This was probably the first time I played Realsports since around 86 or so and it's aged horribly. If I didn't have so much nostalgia associated with the game I don't think I would dig it that much. I don't know if I would recommend it as a gift to some one who has never played it.

Super Baseball, hmmm..its the same as real sports BB.. BUT.

I think real sports baseball must be better, but still has lots of flaws compared to bets one... Pete Rose. I don't like how in Pete Rose that the CP or Player 2 has the same white outfit as YOU!

 

What is funny about Real Sports Baseball, is I just steal bases

and the CP does nothing to stop me. LOL.
