JacobZu7zu7 #1 Posted October 5, 2006 I got an Atari 2600 game in the mail. (from a store) It was with Box.. but the left corner of the game is cracked off.. There's no pieces to be found. I don't think the sell was aware.. I dunno. It says in the description that games might have BOX damage. (that's all that is said) Is this a reason to ask for an exchange?? Not sure. Maybe if it works its all that matters. What do you guys think?

JacobZu7zu7 #3 Posted October 8, 2006 I'd ask if it was me as it cant hurt to ask! I sent a small note of the problem with the games shell... I'll see what they say back, if anything... I still have to test the game.
JacobZu7zu7 #4 Posted October 12, 2006 I'd ask if it was me as it cant hurt to ask! Yeah I did ask nicely about the damaged game cart, and the seller.. has another copy and seller's going to sent it to me for free. Very nice indeed.
shadow460 #5 Posted October 13, 2006 I got a lot with a damaged Ace of Aces in it. The fellow said the games were all in excellent condition 'cept for the alien Brigade which was just a circuit board. I looked them over before sending most of the lot away for parts. Ace of Aces had an enormous crack in the back side of the case. Had it been mine to keep, I would have still ripped the seller a little bit, and I'd have replaced the cart shell. Thing is, the second highest bidder contacted me through AtariAge and we worked out a deal for all but 2 of the carts. I had to forward Ace of Aces. I left positive feedback for the transaction with a note of what had happened. The seller offered me a replacement without hassle, and I noted that. I turned down the replacement since the cart was going to be torn down anyway. Still, though, damaged goods suck. Which game did you get? In many cases, it's possible to remove the labels with a heat gun. Once you do that, the board can be switched into a good cart case and the labels re applied. Or, as with my alien Brigade, new labels can be made.
