There's the Star Raider's keypad. And Activision Space Shuttle used the console switches (quite ingenious really. Almost exactly like the real thing, except the shuttle never had wood grain... And I don't think the real astronauts were allowed to use the console overlay.)

Omega Race uses a joystick with a sleave of sorts over top that gives you and extra button. I think Star Trek used the console switches. I think there was a pad that you could jog on but I forget the name of the game.

How about the THRUST+ the Professional Combat Pack from Thomas Jentsch, you can use the Footpedal with the Joystick.

Atari 2600 Controllers -- Click on a controller type to see which game(s) required it. Note that some of the special controllers work just like a normal joystick, so there are technically no games which "require" them. Note also that the Keyboard Controller (called "Atari Keypad" on the page), Kid's Controller, and Video Touch Pad are electronically identical and interchangeable.

Spy Hunter also used 2 joysticks. I think there may be 1-3 other games that also need 2 joysticks for 1 player.

The Star Trek controls all derived from the joystick. The game came with an overlay for the standard Atari joystick to indicate how to use the controls.

For a really bizarre controller for the 2600, try finding the one that came with the CBS game Survival Run. It's supposed to be an X-Y yoke like the one used in the Star Wars arcade game.

And then there's the trakball controller...and the offbrand controllers like the UnRoller Controller (in effect a joystick controller without the joystick).

I'm pretty sure that Space Jockey requires the use of the power cord to unplug the game system and clear itself of any memory regarding Space Jockey.
