ATARIPITBULL #1 Posted October 8, 2006 I re-started playing this game and I have gotten pretty good, or so I thought untill I got to level 9, the Sheriffs car is just too fast. Has anyone gotten past the 9th level?

sandmountainslim #3 Posted October 8, 2006 I have made it to lvl 13 before. This is a good game I wonder why Atari left it unreleased?
ATARIPITBULL #4 Posted October 8, 2006 LEVEL 13!!!! at level 9 the sheriff is faster than the General Lee on the straight aways, the only time you are faster, seems to be when you are making a left or right diagonal move and it seems like there can be no mistakes in you move, but even then he gets me. Rik #8 Posted October 9, 2006 I re-started playing this game and I have gotten pretty good, or so I thought untill I got to level 9, the Sheriffs car is just too fast. Has anyone gotten past the 9th level? You're referring to "THE DUKES OF HAZZARD" for the 2600,i take it?I wasnt even aware there was a 2600 version,as I have the Colecovision version. ATARIPITBULL #9 Posted October 9, 2006 Of course I am talking about "The Dukes of Hazzard" for the 2600, I would never dirty my hands with the Coleco system. I got this copy from CPUWIZ.
+else #10 Posted October 10, 2006 I know it's a fake label and all... but something's wrong with that cart -- Atari Corp wasn't formed until 1984....so it can't have a copright date of 1983
jpfalcon2003 #11 Posted October 10, 2006 Mine is on it's way to me in the mail. Can't wait to play it since i've read more about it here.

I have been rereading old posts concerning this game and it appears EVERYONE loses it at level 13, I suppose no one has ever gotten farther than that I found this interview with Mark Hahn who was the programmer and he mistakenly believe the game SUCKS! He is dead wrong, this is one of my favourite games. WP http://www.digitpress.com/archives/interview_hahn.htm
Atari Dogs #13 Posted December 16, 2006 Of course I am talking about "The Dukes of Hazzard" for the 2600, I would never dirty my hands with the Coleco system. I got this copy from CPUWIZ. Is CPUWIZ selling copies now? Wasn't it someone like Best or B&C that was selling this a couple years back with no lable?
froggger2 #14 Posted December 16, 2006 Just because Atari Corporation wasn't formed until 1984 doesn't mean an Atari Corporation label can't have a copyright date before 1984. The red label Asteroids Atari Corporation label has a 1979 copyright date. The red label Basketball Atari Corporation label has a 1978 copyright date. I bought my copy from WIZ like about 2 years ago, or so, you could always ask him if he has any more copies left.
