Crazy Climber #1 Posted October 9, 2006 I own a vertical JAMMA cab that I currently have a smaller multi JAMMA PCB board in right now. One of my favorite games "Commando" uses a vertical monitor and with the help of an adapter I didn't know exsisted I can now play it in my Cabinet. Anyways here's my question. Due to the shorter wires in my cabinets JAMMA harness I cant really mount the Commando board anywhere else except directly over my Multi Jamma board. This will work because the multi booard is much smaller but does anyone know if this is OK? Do you have to leave a certain amount of space in between them or is this something thats just a bad idea and could possibly short something out. I would hate to ruin the PCB boards but I would love to play Commando. Any help would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks
CPUWIZ #2 Posted October 9, 2006 As long as they aren't touching in any way, you should be fine. I would suggest some standoffs, that lift the board well above the switcher.
+remowilliams #3 Posted October 9, 2006 Yeah, that's what I was going to suggest. Before I gave up on real boards and built the first incarnation of the awesome MAME cab - I had like ten JAMMA boards in one cabinet. I used a combination of vertical racks and standoff stacking mounts. Worked nicely.
