Dauber #1 Posted October 17, 2006 OK...so my parents just sold their house and they had me come over to go through my old stuff to see if I want any of it. Well, among the stuff were these things, which I thought were sold in a garage sale 20 years ago: I know I also had Frogger, but that must have been sold in the aforementioned garage sale... Ahhh, the memories. Now to go visit eBay....

thegamepeddler #6 Posted October 18, 2006 And now we FINALLY understand why our moms always nagged us about putting our toys away when we were done playing with them. Great condition.
zaxxonfan #7 Posted October 18, 2006 I've got the pac-man one.
rorysl #8 Posted October 18, 2006 I saw the Zaxxon board game at the local Sally Anne a few years ago and it was 25 cents!! I literally did not have a penny on my person and when I came by the next day (small town -- I didn't expect it to be...) it was gone!
rockman_x_2002 #9 Posted October 18, 2006 Wow. Nice rediscovery there. My brother had all of these except the Berzerk one. I still have them around, somewhere, but the last time I saw them I was a kid. I would be hard pressed to say that most of the parts to the games are missing. But I do remember them. Good times. SteveW #10 Posted October 18, 2006 I've got a Zaxxon board game. Mine was never used. Picked it up for $2 in a thrift earlier this year. Even though the box isn't in very good shape, it's still a keeper. I have started checking out the board game sections of the thrifts I hit hoping that I come across some more arcade game based board games.
Dauber #11 Posted October 18, 2006 I totally forgot the Berzerk game ever existed! My only concern is that, if you look carefully, the Q*Bert box has a drink stain on it...also, these games had blank game pieces, and you had to put the stickers on...well, the little sticker holder thingy is actually stuck to the pyramid! Will Goo Gone remove the sticker thingy without tearing the board too much?
jboypacman #12 Posted October 19, 2006 Sweet.I remember everyone of thoses except Berzerk.I always want the Pac-Man one but know such luck.
Bruce Tomlin #13 Posted October 19, 2006 I haven't found a Berzerk before. But of the two Donkey Kong sets I've found, Kong's arm was broken in both of them, and the stickers had fallen off of the pieces in one of them. The other set was a German edition, which was kind of cool. Neither had instructions.
Dave Farquhar #14 Posted October 19, 2006 well, the little sticker holder thingy is actually stuck to the pyramid! Will Goo Gone remove the sticker thingy without tearing the board too much? Try aiming a hair dryer at the sticker thingy. Usually heat will cause the adhesive to let go. Just be careful to make sure you don't lift the adhesive holding the printed surface to the rest of the board.
Dauber #15 Posted October 19, 2006 (edited) And if I don't have a hair dryer? [And I'm NOT going to buy a hair dryer to donate or sell a game worth maybe a buck!] Edited October 19, 2006 by Dauber
MegaManFan #16 Posted October 19, 2006 I've got a couple of those I picked up off eBay, but none look as good as the ones that were stashed at your parent's house. Congrats on the good haul! Ironically I was cleaning out the bedroom at MY parent's house this weekend because they want to tear the bookshelves out of my old room, pull up the carpet, repaint and remodel. I packed up over 20 boxes worth of stuff but didn't come across anything near that cool - it was mostly sci-fi and fantasy books and some old Apple 5.25" and 3.5" disks. AussieAtari #17 Posted October 19, 2006 Oh I don't know, I personally think Apple 5.25" and 3.5" disks are cool.
