jpfalcon2003 #1 Posted October 23, 2006 Bought this game recently. I could say alot of negative things about the graphics on this one. They are terrible. Good thing I had fun playing this one. Can't anyone put decent looking monkeys or apes in a videogame back then. Donkey Kong looked horrible compared to the rest of the game. King Kong looked even worse, but this one takes the cake. Who was doing the drawing of the animals back then. They needed to steal the Coco Monkey from the coconuts game to put in all these games. At least he looks good. You can even see the white in his eyes. Having him substitute the rest of the monkeys or apes in the other games would have made them a hell of alot better. All in all, I did like this one alot too. Great game

Lord Thag #3 Posted October 24, 2006 Yeah, I like this game as well. I popped it in a couple of days ago for the first time in awhile and had fun with it. It IS ugly as sin, but it's challenging and pretty fun.

Foxsolo2000 #7 Posted October 24, 2006 I never even saw the arcade game it was modelled on let alone played it. Did anyone here ever play the original and what where your thoughts on it in comparison to the 2600 version?
Godzilla #8 Posted October 26, 2006 yea i agree, this game is ugly as sin. ive played the arcade game and found the 2600 version fun and the arcade game annoying. once again, it has the gameplay elements + fun. and i think all games with squirrels rule
Inky #9 Posted October 26, 2006 I never even saw the arcade game it was modelled on let alone played it. Did anyone here ever play the original and what where your thoughts on it in comparison to the 2600 version? IIRC, it was never released, at least here in the states, however you can get the rom from MAME... THe game is quite a bit different in MAME, although the 2600 version has the basic gameplay elements, bizarre as they are.

I heard a rumor that the only known Sky Skipper coin-op (at least in the US)is located at the Nintendo World Head Quarters and is availible for employees to play in one of the break rooms. I'd love to play a few rounds. BTW - Sky Skipper is an awesome 2600 game, one of my personal favorites, there's nothing wrong with the graphics
