Dan Coogan's Gravitar page (worth checking out!)

I've never played the arcade game except on emulation, but it's still a unique game. I'm impressed at how well the Atari 2600 version was pulled off.

The 2600 version is the only one I played, but it's one of my favorite games on there, it's so well done and all.

The arcade version of this game has incredible depth. And it's one of the few games which is 100% pure skill. It's really enjoyable game as soon as you master the 5-button control system. It's easier for the Asteroids and Space Duel players... they used similar button layout.

Yeah, that is a great site, I've been there before. Until recently I had a ful-size Gravitar cabinet in great condition, but sold it as I'm moving soon and didn't want to move it yet again. Someday I'll setup a nice classic arcade and will definitely include a Gravitar among the games.

It is a difficult game, but one that can definitely be "mastered" by skill alone (well, maybe some luck also on hte invisible levels).. :)

I finally broke the world record! after 3+ years of trying and 6 other serious attempts that we taped, I scored 8,029,450 points on 12/23/06 - 23 hours 15 minutes.

Previous WR was set by Ray Mueller, 4,722,200 on 12/4/82, 12 hours 21 minutes.

Here is the link to my recap for the game:
