jpfalcon2003 #1 Posted October 28, 2006 there was a sequel to Stargate (AKA Defender 2) called Strike force. It was an arcade game that came out in 1991, i think. Does anyone know if this game came out for any home system, or if it will for the 2600 or 7800 one day. Reason I'm asking is because my brother is a defender and Stargate fanatic. Any info. would be helpful
Vic George 2K3 #2 Posted October 28, 2006 Never heard of or seen it, just like I have never heard of Joust 2 until Midway put out its Playstation compilation disks.

Inky #4 Posted October 28, 2006 Strike Force, I have never seen in the arcade, but I played it on MAME.. It is an incredibly lame game, IMHO.
jpfalcon2003 #5 Posted October 29, 2006 I always considered this to be Defender 3... Never new of that version. The other I was referring to was an actual arcade game. Don't know about that one though.
Technosis #6 Posted October 29, 2006 I made a quick check of the KLOV entry to refresh my memory: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_i...45&letter=S I've never seen this game in a home version, there are however numerous Defender clones and workalikes. The game Datastorm on the Amiga is worth checking out. I have an original boxed copy of the before mentioned Revenge of Defender for the Amiga. It's an OK game but IMHO it doesn't come close to the unique feel of Defender or Stargate. I'm a big Defender/Stargate fan so I'd love to know of some worthy successors to these. Jess Ragan #7 Posted October 29, 2006 I don't know about worthy, but Anarchy for the Amiga should fit the bill if you're looking for side-scrolling action in the same vein as Defender. There's also Archer MacClean's Dropzone, which is as close as you can come to Defender without stumbling into the dangerous territory of copyright infringement. Jess Ragan #10 Posted October 30, 2006 Someone made a Defender spoof and forgot to include the most lethal enemy of all, the Master Baiter? For shame! JR
