jpfalcon2003 #1 Posted October 28, 2006 Found out about this game and am almost tempted to get the system and the game just to be able to play it. I heard this was the only system that had this game. It is the sequel to Burgertime (Beef Drop). Does anyone know if this did make it to another system, or if the 5200 or 7800 could possibly get a Beef Drop 2 from this game? ubersaurus #2 Posted October 28, 2006 It's an intellivision exclusive, and its also a bitch to get a copy off. Lowish print run+quality=pricey.
Chickybaby #3 Posted October 28, 2006 Hubbs has really wanted a copy for a long time and thank you to Tempest for having one at VGXpo!
+remowilliams #4 Posted October 28, 2006 It's a very cool game, and I love how the instructions are printed as a diner menu
accousticguitar #5 Posted October 28, 2006 There are some other great titles on Intellivision also, like Tron deadly discs, Dungeons and Dragons, Triple play, Maze a Tron, and Commando.
DeathAdderSF #6 Posted October 28, 2006 Diner is a spectacular game indeed. I was already an Intellivision fan when my friend first showed it to me, but I never thought I'd find such a great, addicting game on the system. The first time I played Diner, I was amazed by the gameplay, the graphics, and even the layout of the mazes. We played it for hours that day, and I eventually picked up a copy for myself at the Classic Gaming Expo, boxed, for only $29.00 (NOT a common price for this rare game). It's worth getting an Intellivision for, definitely. The only unfortunate thing is, you'll be able to find an Intellivision cheap while the Diner game fetches high prices unless you get very lucky (like I did). 8th lutz #7 Posted October 28, 2006 Hopefully Diner will be homebrew release for the systems you mention. Hopefully, that will happen, so the amount people wanting to find to the game will go down and its value for that matter somewhat.
+HatNJ #8 Posted November 6, 2006 I got Diner Recently not too expensive $21 + $ 5 Shipping just cart tho no box or manual (never had overlays) LOVE it fun challenging shows what the Intellivision could do

Will get rid of the gamecube though since the games are wii compatible.
jboypacman #10 Posted November 7, 2006 Just got a Intellivision recently(for free!)and i was reading about this game and thought about picking it up at some point along with He-man.
Crazy Climber #11 Posted November 7, 2006 I bought an Intellivision a while back with almost every game availible (loose of course) for like $75. Diner was one of the few I didn't get with it. I also never had Dig Dug which I heard has a hidden game in it called Deadly Dogs. Sometimes I want to get another one to try collecting for, I'd go complete only this time around though but then I remember those shitty controllers...*cringe*... SteveW #12 Posted November 7, 2006 If you're going to pick up an Intellivision to play Diner (good idea, since it's a fun game with a suprising amount of levels) you should also pick up Thunder Castle. It's an incredible game and shows how far a good programmer could push the INTV. While you're at it, pick up Utopia for cheap (make sure to get the overlays) if you want a good game that's fairly unique to game consoles of that era. Lord Thag #14 Posted November 15, 2006 Oh yeah. Thunder Castle and Diner are tops. Awesome games. I love the Intellivision. All those great AD&D games, tons of Imagic exclusives, strategy games... Very different from the other consoles of the day. Sure the controllers are not the best, but c'mon, ALL the controllers sucked back then (well, most of 'em). Definitely track a copy down.
