jpfalcon2003 #1 Posted October 29, 2006 This game is just plain awful. It's the same boring pattern over and over. did anyone like this game. The ape sprite is horrendous. on the positive note, the label and blue colored cart is cool. Not too much effort was done on that game.

I have a feeling you will have a couple of these go unanswered.
Christophero Sly #3 Posted October 29, 2006 The first time I played it, I thought it was laughably awful. However, I stuck a copy in to test it before a trade a while back and I ended up playing it for a bit. I decided the game wasn't as bad as I'd first thought. I'd call it dead average. It's a blatant DK ripoff though, right down to the background melody.
Vic George 2K3 #4 Posted October 29, 2006 Just glad I didn't own either this or the rather mediocre Miner 2049er translations for the 2600.
Foxsolo2000 #5 Posted October 29, 2006 Absolutely awful. Nice cart, non existant game play
bcprs1 #6 Posted October 29, 2006 Last year, Twin galaxies had this cart for one of their bounty prizes. You had to try to get over 10000 points in the game. Needless to say, it took me 3 months to finally do it. There are some tricks to the game to help you get higher scores. I found that you could memorize some patterns to the way the bombs dropped. Needless to say though, after I got the bounty, I stuck the game in my closet and haven't played it since...I also still haven't receive my money from twin galaxies yet so go figure. godzillajoe #7 Posted October 29, 2006 Got it with a bunch of other games. What a waste of a license. I still think a cool homebrew would be to put Kong on the top of The Empire State Building and have the player control a plane that has to shoot Kong x number of times ala Empire Strikes Back while avoiding other planes, birds, crashing into Kong, shooting the girl, or crashing into the building. Sort of Looping meets Star Wars: ESB
jpfalcon2003 #8 Posted October 30, 2006 That sounds cool. I'd buy one like that
