Cybergoth #1 Posted October 31, 2006 Hi there! Just curious about the basic specs of the boards used to create the Cynthcart. Is it just suited for plain 8K cartridges, or will it possibly support any documented bankswitching scheme? And why is the Cynthcart only offered "naked"? Just a matter of getting enough donor cartridges to cannibalize?
Albert #2 Posted October 31, 2006 Hi there! Just curious about the basic specs of the boards used to create the Cynthcart. Is it just suited for plain 8K cartridges, or will it possibly support any documented bankswitching scheme? They are simple, 8K only boards. And why is the Cynthcart only offered "naked"? Just a matter of getting enough donor cartridges to cannibalize? Correct, I simply don't have a large stash of donor C64 cartridges. I could buy new cartridge shells but I remember them being a bit expensive. Plus, most poeple want the board socketed so they can later upgrade to a newer version and socketed boards do not fit in the cartridge shells without modification (basically, cutting a hole in the cartridge to allow the EPROM to stick through). ..al
